Simply, another weird dream. Leela came back for in this one.
Anyway, this is what happened. It all begins on a warm moonlit night with a few clouds in the sky. There are two guys standing outside of the front door. One guy is short and scrawny with a goatee, slick back hair, and wearing a lot of gold. He was also wearing a suit and carrying a briefcase. He’s the salesman.
The guy standing next to him was taller and bigger. He wasn’t wearing a suit though. He was the bodyguard. In whatever dreamworld I was in, it was very dangerous, and you either needed to be combat ready or have a bodyguard with you at all times.
Anyway, I’m inside the house. Outside, the salesman is bragging to his bodyguard about how he is going to make a sale and sucker some more people into buying whatever garbage he is selling. I look to my left and there is some random dude in the house looking through the side window at the salesman. He expresses his hatred for crooked door to door salespeople and gets extremely pissed off. By the way, this guy in the house seems to be on edge like he’s about to snap and go psycho. He reminded me of one of those crazy guys from the card game scene in Training Day.
Out of nowhere, he tosses me a shotgun and he pulls out two chrome plated .45’s and says that he wants to take care of these guys. Before I can have a say in the matter, the salesman rings the doorbell.
Immediately, the crazy guy opens the door and grabs the skinny guy by the collar and jerks him into the house. I have the shotgun pointed at the bodyguard so he can’t do anything. I tell him to step inside while the crazy guy takes the salesman upstairs…
After a few moments, I figure the bodyguard doesn’t have to die. He was just doing his job and got caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. I walk him to the sliding glass door in the back and tell him that he is free to go and to forget he was ever here.
The crazy guy comes down and asks where the bodyguard was. “He got away.” I said. The crazy guy told me to go after him. So, I did. I run out of the house and across some grassy moonlit fields. I end up running into the city where no one is around. Eventually, I catch up to the guy in the middle of desolate intersection. I knock the guy down and point the gun at him.
“Now what?” I think to myself. I let the guy up and basically told him never mind. I turned and ran back towards the house. I don’t know why I had to chase the guy down if I had no intention of shooting him. Oh well. I shoot a few rounds off into the air to make it seem like I shot at the bodyguard.
When I get back to the house, there are about 5 other people I don’t know. They are very disturbed and say that the guy has gone crazy. They are afraid of what he is going to do next and say he has done something horrible. I never find out what the guy did, but I imagine it was pretty horrible based on what happens in the next few moments.
“This guy needs to be stopped..” I thought. I look at the shotgun and notice that there is only one shell left. To make matters worse, the shell is jammed, and I can’t get it out. I start to panic because I think the guy knows I’m after him now, and I don’t have a gun. I need a weapon.
I look over to the glass coffee table. The decorative iron ornaments that are hanging from it are sharp and look like they could be used as knives. One of the cooler ‘ornaments’ looks like the symbol for the New Orleans Saints. I give that one to the guy in a white suit. I pull a series of knives and blades off the coffee table and pass them out to the others. I grab a pair of blades for myself.
Before I can explain to the group what we are going to do, one of the girls goes upstairs after the guy. No one follows her. No one does anything except look to the top of the stairs. We hear a scuffle, gunshots, and then a scream. The girl comes walking back slowly. She stops at the top of the stairs. Its dark up there, and the light casts a shadow over her face.
Slowly, she starts to walk down the stairs blindly as if she can’t see….
Her eyes are gone. The crazy guy had cut her eyes out.
We’re all looking at her not knowing what to do next. Her hand is on the rail guiding her down the stairs. Halfway down the stairs, her hand brushes up against an envelope. She tosses the letter over the side and down to the guy in the white suit.
She asks him to read it aloud.
The letter is from her family. It says they will be in town next week. The other girl in the room appears to be the blind girl’s sister. The blind girl shouts at her, “You lied to me! You said they weren’t coming, and now I can’t see them!” She suddenly throws herself through the handrail and dives onto her sister.
Crashing, they fall into a swimming pool. The girl with no eyes has her hands around her sister’s throat as she tries to drown her. The sister remembers she has a knife in her hand. She stabs her blind sibling in the side until she lets go. There is blood in the water. The blind girl is dead. The other girl doesn’t appear in the dream anymore, and I don’t know what happened to her. We are down two people now, and the crazy guy is still on the loose.
Angrily, we all mob up the stairs. The stairs transform into a stairwell, and we keep going up and up. We’re going to the top of a skyscraper now. The guy is on the roof, and he is expecting us.
Everyone is getting tired as I continue to run up the stairs. I get to the roof alone. Its snowing outside now, and the guy isn’t there.
Leela appears and says he leapt off the roof. We look over the edge and don’t see anything but snowfall and darkness. Dream logic dictates that we must do the same. We take a few steps back and then run towards the edge. ..
We leap off the building as hard as we can. Now, we’re falling away from the building. The ocean is below us as we continue to fall. It seems like we start slowing down and begin to glide a little bit.
Suddenly, whimsical music begins to play as the sound of waves crashing picks up. Train tracks begin to sprout from the water in a straight line off into the horizon. However, the tracks right below us are still under water. Up ahead, steam bursts out in front of us as a locomotive breaks the surface of the water. Its one of your good ol’ fashioned steam locomotives. Its pulling a combination of old school passenger cars as well as modern roller coaster cars. The words “Drop Chain Express” are painted on the side of the locomotive.
We land on top of one of the passenger cars. Leela points to the horizon directly in front of the train and shouts over the wind and train noise, “He went this way!”
We ride the train through the night and into the day. The sun is out high in the sky now. The ocean is blue, and the skies are clear. In the daylight, I can see that the train tracks are hanging from chains. The chains reach high into the sky. If I look way up, I can see the chains supporting the tracks are hanging from two huge orange Golden Gate Bridge cables. We’re on a giant suspension bridge. “Drop Chain Express” makes sense now.
Randomly, like a fish, a tiny cruise liner jumps out of the water into my arms while an octopus jumps into Leela’s arms. While I’m holding onto my cruise liner and Leela holds onto her octopus, and the train starts to dive into the ocean. I start to freak out because I don’t want to start floating and have the train get away from us stranding us in the middle of the Atlantic. I get really freaked out when the water gets up to my neck, but, thankfully, the train rises back up above the water. I’m still holding onto the ocean liner and the octopus is still in her arms.
So here is the weird part. Before the train dipped below the water, the people in the roller coaster cars were just your average modern touristy looking people. After the train dipped below the surface and came back up, the people in the cars were all replaced with sea lions. Sea lions wearing people clothes! They were all wearing 1920’s suits or dresses. Some of the lady sea lions, those wearing dresses, were holding flowers. Very weird…Anyway, I wake up shortly afterwards.
Dream Triggers:
- 1920’s
- I think this pic had something to do with it: http://i595.photobucket.com/albums/tt31/booya8009/10mq9ozut2.jpg
- I don’t know what else…I played soccer all weekend.
